Prusa Box MMU2S configuration will be available.
We are trying to get:
- no modification on MMU2S unit
- no modification on Prusa Box stainless steel part
- as low as possible air leakage.
Our idea is to do a sliding flap linked to MMU selector.
We have to check:
- Cable between MMU unit and Prusa motherboard is long enough
- PTFE tube between MMU and extruder is long enough
Hi when do you expect this to be complete? I am planning to buy the MMU2S and already have your Printer Box and an Original Prusa i3 Mk3S+.
Many thanks
Bob
I’m disgruntled about the lack of progress on this product and it’s Unfortunately I didn’t realize the difference between the MMU2 and MMU2S when I bought my Prusa Box. I have MMU2S and it looks like I’ll just have to keep my box partially disassembled OR disconnect my MMU2s for now. I sure hope there is some update to this plan soon, it has been 15 months since this post came out and still no option for people with MMU2S??? I can’t be the only one with this problem!?
Hi
About mmu2 unit and mmu2s unit:
mmu2 unit and mmu2s unit is very similar for physical integration.
We ask to Prusa support and answer : The difference between MMU2 and MMU2S are only the new IR filament sensor (on the extruder-hotend unit) and several printed plastic parts on the extruder that hold this sensor. There was any different part on the MMU2 unit.
